A big thank you to Shanon and Diana for hosting the 2nd annual Party in Pink zumba dance class! All proceeds were donated to Angel Wings Network. They were able to raise $100 which will buy 4 gas cards for local cancer patients to get to and from treatment.

Our 11th Annual Walk/Run is coming up on October 8th. Registration is open. All the specific details can be found on our facebook page. The race begins at 11am! Arrive EARLY to take advantage of vendor booths, activities, and more! Exciting news! Medical student Cameron Skaggs has offered to help with our Cancer Care Pals Program remotely! Skaggs has a wonderful group of medical students that will be making wellness calls to our cancer members each month, increasing the communication and connectedness between our volunteers and patients. We are THRILLED for this new partnership. Skaggs is currently attending University of Washington School of Medicine. We had our first successful 8-week book club in the spring! Thank you to our facilitator, Joy Bielenberg for being such a great leader. Thank you to the Weiser Christian Church for allowing us to use the fellowship hall each week. The book club is part of our efforts to expand resources to patients, caregivers, family and volunteers. We hope to do another in the future. Mr. Rowley presented his 100th blanket recently to Mabel at Angel Wings Network! Back in 2019, Mr. Rowley volunteered to help cut and tie fleece prayer blankets. Working through the pandemic, assembling one to two blankets per week, Mr. Rowley celebrated his 100th blanket with our volunteers. What a shining star he has become to our organization. Thank you, Mr. Rowley!!!
What an exciting week we had! Mayor Hibberd made a declaration for PINK WEEK in Weiser and we also had our 10th annual walk/run event! The event was a big success and we can't wait to announce the final numbers for how much money was raised for cancer patients. We had an awesome turnout. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, participated, supported, sponsored, and was involved in one aspect or many! We couldn't do it without you!
Wow, what an amazing turnout for the Idaho Gives & Online Auction Event! We raised more money than we have ever raised for the spring event in the 13 years of Angel Wings existence! AMAZING! So what was the grand total?!
$17,000 ! Our initial goal was $15,000 and we blew that out of the water! We couldn't have done this without the immense love and support from everyone involved. Local businesses that donated items and money, family, friends, and other community members who also donated. To the volunteers who spent HOURS and HOURS preparing this event. THANK YOU! Without all of you, we would not have successful programs and fundraisers. We are truly blessed. Our auction is now officially CLOSED! Thursday, May 6th, we will be processing payments and arranging for shipping and pick up of items. What an exciting event! We look forward to tallying the results and announcing the grand total for this fundraiser event. Check back to find out what the final numbers are! And don't forget to watch our social media pages for the most recent updates and happenings.
