Angel Wings Network Equestrian Riders
The Angel Riders group is a drill team that does routines on horseback to help promote cancer awareness. Each rider represents a specific type of cancer by wearing clothing and tacking their horses in the same color as the ribbon representative of that specific type of cancer. Team leader, Toni Burnett said, "Angel Wings Network gives our team a goal. Each of us have been touched by cancer or have lost a loved one from cancer." The Angel Riders ride in parades and rodeos within the local area. The Angel Riders have an annual event called Horsing Around with the Horses, held the second Saturday in June. Angel Riders provides an outreach for patients to spend the day with the riders and horses plus other fun activities.
