Angel Wings Network Equestrian Riders

The Angel Riders group performs drill team routines on horseback to help promote cancer awareness. Each rider represents a specific type of cancer by wearing clothing and tacking their horses in the same color as the ribbon representative of that specific type of cancer. Riders range are from teenagers to retired. Team leader, Toni Burnett said, "Angel Wings Network gives our team a goal; each of us have been touched by cancer or have lost a loved one from cancer. We all have a personal connection to the disease, and riding for Angel Wings Network gives our team an opportunity to represent cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers in a different way". The Angel Riders ride in area parades and rodeos within the local area. Fundraising efforts are planned to help raise money to prepare rider and horse for upcoming venues. Angel Riders provides an outreach for patients to spend the day with the riders and horses.
