FREE Art Classes to All Cancer Patients!
ArtfulBon's is an arts and crafts studio that holds classes for adults and children. They specialize in paint nights, birthday parties, and custom orders. Bonnie Akbar, owner, has generously offered to provide classes to cancer patients FREE OF CHARGE.
Many studies have shown that art therapy is an amazing way to help patients deal with the side effects of living with cancer, battling cancer, and recovery. Art therapy is a great way to reduce feelings of depression, reduce physical pain, and provide a form of self-expression. Studies have shown improvements in anxiety, depression, and overall health.

In spring of 2022, we launched a new book club. Cancer patients and volunteers were invited to attend an 8-week session going through the book "Cancer, Now What?" We would like to organize more book club meetings in the future, depending on interest.
