Linda Roundtree-Weiser, Idaho
Founder
Linda was born and raised in Weiser, and is the remaining co-founder of Angel Wings Network, Inc. Her breast cancer diagnosis in 2006 opened her eyes and heart to others she met going through cancer alone. "It was alarming and heartbreaking to meet so many people who didn't have a support network or family to help them get through cancer. I had such wonderful family and friends helping me along the way, it was difficult to imagine how others could make it through cancer without a mentor or emotional or financial support".
During the first year of her treatment, the idea to form a cancer support network was set into motion. A name was chosen and monthly meetings were held at her business location "Huckleberry Coffee Co.", in downtown Weiser. Word traveled quickly throughout the local area of a place where people with cancer could go to find help. Small fundraising events were held, and new patient services programs were put in place to help cancer patients and their families. Angel Wings Network, moved to a new location after Linda sold her business in 2014. Linda also was persistent to offer a greater level of help to families going through cancer. The Fall of 2013, Linda started a program
in conjunction with Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Ontario, Cancer Treatment Center. Mentoring Patients and Families, one-on-on helping families navigate the process of cancer treatment.
Linda is also the Founder and Coordinator of "Weiser VIBE," a business improvement organization, Founder of "The Joyce Winslow" Memorial, which benefits "special award" winners at the Washington County Fair, and Board Member of the Weiser Education Foundation since 2007. She also is the Owner Operator of a Clothing Boutique in downtown Weiser, called Arrow Creek Clothing, where she offers a line of contemporary fashion for Juniors and Women. Linda enjoys weekend getaways, her chickens, gardening, yard sales and traveling. She has been married 37 years to her husband, Andy and she has two grown daughters, Holly Smith, and Jen Roundtree.
