Caregivers are typically family or friends who provide care for a person going through cancer. If someone close to you has cancer, you may find it hard to know what to say or expect. Finding support and answers to questions associated with the disease, can help with the emotional, physical and financial worries.
Family and Friends find it difficult to know what to do or how to help when some you love has been given the diagnosis of cancer. It is not unusual to find yourself at a loss of words as you struggle to be supportive.
We provide support in many areas related to diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Gas cards are issued to aid in personal transportation needs and certified drivers are available to drive your loved one safely to and from chemotherapy, radiation, and/or medical treatments. We recognize how important it is for the primary caregiver to continue to work when faced with financial challenges.
We offer helpful advice in person or by phone. Access to our library of books and literature can provide answers to questions and help you feel more comfortable about the emotions you may encounter. We have resources for transportation, Wigs and Cleaning services. Please call the office today at 208-414-9464 to find out how we can help you in your time of need.
Meal Train is offered to families receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment, or in the advanced stages of cancer. These services are offered by the ladies of the Weiser LDS Church, as a partner and sponsor of Angel Wings Network. Families who request this program are contacted by phone to establish a desired meal or special dietary meal menu.
